Hello,
I have a bv8000 pro updated to last version.

The proximity sensor isn't working: in call, screen becomes black and stays black after the call.
Every sensor app says I'm always close to the phone.

In Engineering Mode, I tried doing the calibration but always says "calibration failed".

Any ideas?

Thank you for the quick answer. Tonight I'll try to factory reset the phone and I'll post the results.

A little more detail that could be interesting:

the reading of the proximity sensor in Engineer Mode is always 255, except for an instant sometimes.
Sometimes, for just an instant (way less then half second) it reads a value.

The light sensor (which i believe is on the same circuit) works correctly.

Did you set min and max values before do calibrate?
Doing that works for me.

I tried but it always reads the maximum value. Doesn't work.

I had the same problem. After I reset the calibration it worked. After that in engineer mode it worked perfect.

In the dialing interface, input the *#87#*, and try to test the calibration. If you success, there will be a "pass"; If not, you should change another sensor.
