[SOLVED] Headset problem

After one week of normal use, it seems like i got an issue with the headphone jack.
Got the headphone symbol on the screen without having any headphone plugged into.

Is there a way to disable that, as I can't use the phone for telephone calls the normal way.

To do a call I have to use the speaker/mic or plug in the headset.

Never had the headset plugged in before until I got the symbol on the screen and tried different ways to communicate.

Hope u got an idea to fix that.

Btw, restarting and reset didn't work either.
The headphone plug is also clean and dry

JML,

did you dunk this in water yet?

If you have this issue its on the main board. the only way I could see this being a issue is when you have water ingress.

just a thought.

Hi, another option (quite easy and not problematic) is to use a USB sound device. The following one supports microphone as well:

You can use the small USB-C to USB cable, connect the sound USB and then connect your standard headset to it. Works without issues with standard 3.5 connector.

Did anyone find a solution to this? I have a customer with brand new phone continually showing headset icon even though headset has never been plugged in, and he can't use phone normally as device thinks headset is plugged in.

Is this a software fault?

Or is this a hardware fault?

Can I fix it by disconnecting headset socket from mainboard?

I had the same problem, after wash water and i reboot the phone, everuthing was ok after, but before you must dry the hole for the jack with a piece of tissue.
