This should work in Windows without download external driver.
If they don't get installed correct (yellow ! in device manager) try this:

1. Right-click on the device in the device manager: "Update driver software ..."

2. search for driver software on the computer.

3. Select from a list of device drivers on the computer.
IMPORTANT: Do not specify a path here! > Select from list of known devices.

4. Select the MTP USB device.
Note: Depending on the device, it may be necessary to remove the "Show compatible hardware" checkbox.

Now the smartphone should be recognized.
