Optimized settings by hand are working ONLY BEFORE 12/17 Firmware. After updating BT interrupt after 5 Min - with and without settings perform.

I updated to the latest firmware as per screenshot.

The Bluetooth has become unstable, but only every now and then. I changed it as per screenshot and it is better again.

So far no problems making calls and listening to music.

I did find the proximity of the phone to the radio does play a role. Had more issues when the phone was on the backseat than when it is in the centre console.

You re right, just checked, today is a new update rolled out 28-12-2017
I have just installed it on our phones an will give a feedback with the result after testing.

Feedback after 1 day: Bluetooth still not working proper. Interruption after some minutes. Batterysettings modified like in the posts before.

Hello Together,

I´m using the BV8000 PRO and have also the mentioned BT problems, connection drop after 3-4min.
Other devices are working perfect.
I tried to set all mentioned apps to "no energy saving", but still have the problem.
Is there a list which apps need to be set to "no energy saving"?

Thanks Spongie

SUMMING UP FOR ALL USERS:

0) Update you device to the latest firmware and perform a factory reset after that

1) Disable battery optimization for every bluetooth service as
- Bluetooth MIDI service
- BT Tool
- Bluetooth sharing

and for every app that will need to use bluetooth to transmit data as
- Phone
- Phone services
- Call management
- Phone/Messaging storage
- your music player
- other telephone dialer apps and so on.

2) If the previous step doesn't solve your issue, also disable the "Standby intelligent power saving" setting and disable Duraspeed.

3) If the previous step doesn't solve your issue, also set your device into "High performance mode"

Report back ;)

Today I've updated to the 20180105-1104 OTA which seem to be the latest and now everytime my phone screen turns off and locks - I lose bluetooth connection to all the devices until I turn the screen back on again. I've tried everything described in the post above. I've done factory reset, battery management thing, everything. Literally. Even checked maybe it has something to do with the smart lock. Turned it off - nothing. At least tell me if there's a way to roll back this update, my wrist watch is literally useless now without bluetooth.

I already sent these news to the tech team, so that they can study the new problem.

You can roll back to the 20171114 firmware by flashing it:

Thanks, flashed the old rom, works just fine. I did some research on my own and realized that the problem was not in the bluetooth but in the bug in the latest firmware that "Background task clear" can't be turned off anymore. I have Gear S3 watch and background task clear closed the bluetooth connection app everytime the screen went off. Although there is a workaround, it wouldn't help in my situation because it seems that it also closed the Gear S3 Plugin that is not an app by itself so it can't be whitelisted in the background task clear. I'll stick with the old rom for a while.
