That is exactly the problem. We tap, and the preliminary focus is good. Then it loses focus when you take the shot. Every time. Unless the object is close.

That tells me the AF is not working properly at distances greater than about two metres.

Yet when MF was able to be used, far away objects could be focused. So that tells me the lens is capable but the AF driver is faulty.

Yes to both, and a full factory reset after 0814.

The fence image above was taken after 0814, and the hand was taken after update 0822. Distant shots have not improved in 0822 since fence shot

Soon we will have a new flash ROM to fix this problem. Please keep tuned.

I have tested the new ROM update released today (albeit in twilight), and can confirm autofocus now works properly on distant objects. Thank you Blackview. As long as you remain willing to support your tech, customers will recommend your products. Job well done.
