Re: [TRACKED] Update 20171227-1550 - Battery Drain again?

Mon Jan 15, 2018 2:00 pm

I believe 20171227 solved a big part of the battery issue (at least is looks like the CPU is now entering deep sleep mode). The battery chart is not always precise but maybe this is because I did not made a factory reset after the 20171227 OTA update.

I am not experiencing reboots. I had reboots when I was using the 20171011 version, but after I manage to fix the preloader and flash it to 20171114 and update via OTA to 20171227 the reboots were fixed.

I will double check the battery life tonight and will report tomorrow.

I tested last night with version 20171227 OTA update and for about 7 hours the phone went from 100% to 97%. So 3% for 7 hours with one Sim card I guess it is pretty well. The Sim data is turned on, the WIFI is off when phone is in sleep. I never did a factory reset after the OTA update and I guess after some time the phone is "healing" itself somehow. I will wait for another major update to flash and make a factory reset because I have too many apps installed and it is a giant waste of time for me to reinstall everything again.

Guys, i'm still waiting for a confirmation about FLASHING the 20171227 update to solve the battery drain-again issue.
Once got it, i'll mark this issue as solved. ;)

After installing the firmware 1219 the battery life increased by about 30% and the spontaneous reboots of the phone disappeared, then an update was installed on the OTA 1227, but I did not make a factory reset after the update. I did not notice any changes after the update, if only the battery life decreased slightly, but this is subjective, since I did not make any measurements while on firmware 1219.

I just flashed 1227 ROM.
I will give my updates tomorrow.

One thing is certain, flashing via OTA caused the problem in the first place.
I've flashed the ROM 1219 last week, and the battery is way better than before. Not excellent, but better.

Tomorrow I will have the confirmation if the 1227 really solved the issue.

Sorry for the late on the reply, I had no much time to confirm.

Thanks,
George SPiT

Ok,

Here is my result.
First time I updated via OTA and the battery was not working well.

Now I flashed the Codes 1219 and 1227 and it's way better.
I'm a heavy user with Wifi enabled 24x7 and I do play some games.

I'm charging my phone during night and using the whole day and it's 30% remaining before I go to sleep.
So it's better, I still expected more, but it's seems good.

Heavy user, Wifi + gaming = 18hours.

Thanks,
George SPiT

Thanks for your feedback!
It confirms that the battery drain again problem gets solved by FLASHING the 20171227 version.
I'm marking this issue as solved ;)
