Re: [TRACKED AND INVESTIGATING, CULPRIT FOUND] Phone reboots (crashes) at night, startup sound will wake up everybody

Hi,
The old one was 1.1 and the new is 1.1, but different number - the new one is 1737 the old one is 1728
The uptime is 145hours without any restarts.

This is a photo of the old one https://www.dropbox.com/s/avsu7tn6my1i070/2018-01-11%2021.15.28.jpg?dl=0
The photo of the new one can be seen on https://www.dropbox.com/s/srqp4mdglgit7b5/Screenshot%202018-01-11%2021.21.50.png?dl=0

Best regards

Absolutely!
4 days with one charge!
before was a real nightmare - it was not possible to have a day on a battery. Now the cpu is sleeping, not as before.

After the OTA update v0.1_20170803_20180105-1104 my phone does not reboot itself. I did the factory reset. The charging board is the original.
Remaining bugs:
Quick battery drain and slow charge.
Crackling sound when media start (mp4-format).
I hope the next update will fix these bugs.

4 days with one charge, can you be more specific?

- how many SIM cards are in?
- SD card installed?
- is data transfer constantly on, is LTE enabled?
- are internet demanding background tasks such as synchronizing enabled?
- how many minutes are talking on the phone daily?
- daily screen on time, average?
- screen light setting?
- cpu-z screenshot would be nice

Cheers,
Chris

Guys, let's keep this thread on topic. We are talking about reboots.

Refer to this thread for the battery drain problem:

Anothe update on 20171219 firmware, my phone still doing nothing, but it doesn't restart from 258 hours. I know that when you are using phone it maybe different, but before this firmware update it never gets to 3 days without restart.

I found nearly exactly the same result.

Before this specific update? 2/3 reboots a day, guaranteed.

After this update? No random reboots for 200 hours plus, then 1 reboot after about 244 hours... Then no reboots again. At 154 hours currently.

Are we absolutely CERTAIN that this is a hardware problem, and not a software problem? Because quite honestly, if it was a hardware problem I would expect a software update to make little/no difference on reboot frequency and this update (i've not tried latest because honestly I don't want to make anything worse!) has restored the phones functionality well.

A software update can mitigate the hardware problem A LOT but not fixing it at 100%, as you can clearly see from your feedback.
Reboots are mitigated a lot, but not solved at 100%!
