Re: [TRACKED] Update 20171227-1550 - Battery Drain again?

Wed Jan 10, 2018 5:54 pm

I see in other post, there is a new version : 20180105-1104
Admin, can you please confirm this version is available?

It's not showing in the Wireless Update.
But in the other conversation, the battery seems to be good.

How can we download it?

Thanks,
George SPiT

This new firmware is still not available for download.

If you guys want to palliate the battery drain problem while tech team fixes this latest firmware, you can flash your device back to the previous 20171219 firmware.

Hello,
I bought a Blackview 8000 Pro phone on 08/09/2017.
Since a few months ago I started to give automatic restart problems. In addition, the battery has a very short duration.
Today, 08/01/2018 I installed an automatic update and since then it does not load.
I have reset to factory default and the problem continues.

In this thread we are talking specificately about the battery drain problem wich was solved but came back with the latest firmware.
Please let us keep this thread on topic and open a new thread about your "does not load" problem (please, describe it in a detailed way so that i can understand the problem and properly help you!)

I am with BV8000 firmware 20171227-1550 and I can confirm that it does not does to sleep. The battery app reports it as "Awake" all the time. Battery life is around 10-11 hours with minimum usage. I did the factory reset after the FW upgrade.

Tech team suggests to FLASH the 20171227 firmware (now available for download) and report back if the issue gets solved.
Please do it ;) the OTA update may have created problems.

Well, I do have a life and work. And I need my phone in working condition. I don’t have the time to flash and reset my phone every 2 days. It takes me several hours to setup everything again.
Some other things to report: Last night when I was charging my phone I was playing with the settings and switched the “Performance and power saving” option to “Sports mode” and then back to “Normal mode”. Then this morning I disconnected the phone from the charger and go to work. Today the phone started to enter deep sleep mode. Look at the screenshot.

The “CPU Spy” app is also reporting that the CPU is in “deep sleep” for more than 6 hours during the day. However I am not sure the graphic above is accurate. As you can see I have used my phone a lot of times during the day (the screen turns on and off). I played games, I made photos, I made calls. However the graphic shows that the CPU was not awake during the whole day. Is this possible at all? Also I used the camera a lot of times and it is not shown. Also I do not understand the “gap” a little bit after the middle of the graphic. What is this? I am not turning the phone off and on?

I have a BV7000 and BV8000 and I must say the last one is a failure. It does not looks to be faster than BV7000, it has many issues, it is overheating when playing games, sometimes it enters sleep mode, sometimes not, the multi-function key is useless (outside of China) and it cost a lot more than BV7000. I made a bad choice :(
