Hi guys!

Flash files for the 20180124 update have been released.

Can you flash your device to this version, perform a factory reset after that, and report back if the issue has been solved?

Finally had the time to flash to 20170124 using the computer, then made the factory reset and install and configure back 77 apps (half a day work). I don't see any changes. The phone is overheating as before when playing games, flashlight on lock screen is still not working. The multi-function button is useless and cannot be configured. In fact I don't see any changes in the past 2-3 firmwares. Just no comment.

I confirm too that the flashlight isn't working on lock screen.

Well, everything for me is working. Heating up is there while playing games or doing video chat but i think its normal.

Well, something strange just happened. Now the flashlight isn't working at all!! Battery is at 75%

Right after posting this my phone froze!!! I had to hold the power button for it to restart!!! The flash on the camera isn't working either. I used the flashlight last night and it was working fine. What's going on?? The phone was never dropped or got wet

I think you have installed some malware . Some application which is responsible for that issue. If you can backup your data I will advise you to make a hard reset of your phone ,i.e turn off your phone , goto recovery and format.
After doing this see if the problem presist? Waitting for your reply!!!

I just scanned with Malwarebytes and it found nothing. Is there any other way to test? It has only been 3 days since I installed the latest firmware and had to reconfigure 100 apps. I would like to avoid factory resetting again.

Some Apps behave like disturbing system apps and Malwarebytes or antivirus can do nothing. I can only suggest for a hard reset or latest firmware flash.
Ans for your installed Apps you can use App Backup Application. Screen shot is attached for your comfort.
