That is not a valid response. There is nothing wrong with the phone except Blackview's own software that broke the phone.

if you don't completely drain your battery in the mean time, you can perform a firmware downgrade and get back to a perfectly working device. Or you can wait for the next OTA update, wich has no ETA at the moment.
But if your battery is completely drained, you can't do anything else except charging your battery as discoragno did (and then perform a firmware downgrade) or contacting your seller to have your device replaced under warranty.
Is this response vaild enought? ;)

Can you do this from within the phone or it has to be done manually following the tutorial ??

You'll have to follow this tutorial:

Hi there,
I just flashed your new update, and my phone stopped charging. Even its not recognised by the pc ,no connection at all. When I turn the phone off and then connect to the pc, it connects. Pathetic huh??

Going back to 20171227 firmware. Its so pathetic .All my data and other apps lost for nothing. I am in UAE and here one GB internet is for 50 USD. Lolx..thumbs up

Did you perform a factory reset after the 20180308 update?

Did the charging issue disappear after flashing back to the 20171227 firmware?

Yeah!
I PERFORMED FACTORY RESET 3 times and the again flashed the Rom as well but same issue. When I rolled back to 20171227 firmware all got fine. Just waiting for Oreo update.

Re: Firmware 20180228-1557 changelog?

Thu May 10, 2018 4:15 pm

I went back (from downgraded 20171227) to this firmware (20180228)
And I was very, very patient installing additional applications.
It is a PITA, you know, reinstalling everything again and again after factory reset.
But, I was very patient, since I really like this phone.

All went well until I installed Waze.
Charging, fast charging, from original charger, via USB from PC... All worked.
Untill I installed Waze from Google Play!
Then there was no charging at all, whatever I tried... except when phone was off.

I did factory reset again and will experiment some more.

Admin, please recheck with your tech team about this.
There is  still slight possibility that something else triggered charging blockade.

If you can't flash your device back to a previous version, unfortunately there's nothing more to do except contacting your seller to have your device replaced under warranty.

Hello Admin
The charge board as arrived and are fiited inside the "phone", result the sane problem: FACTORY MODE without any possibility to access at the system.
The VOL - button are not working...
Any response from CrossTheSea...

Admin do you have some idea about I can do, to have a warranty or money back fot this (YOURS) phone fault?
Unfortunely i bought the phone from a 3th part (CrossTheSea) and not directly from amazon, I read that are not a good solution form me...otherwise the solution are "buy another phone" from another brand...
I'm wait for your message.
Thanks.

Sad to hear that. If the seller Crossthesea doesn't answer, directly contact Amazon. They will refund your faulty phone.

I might have accused Waze wrongly.
I am now on the FW in signature, and installing my usual software one by one after I did a factory reset.
Between installations I do a phone restart.
Last I installed Weather and clock widget which I usually install on all my phones and tablets (currently LG V500 tablet, Galaxy S4, Galaxy S5) where it works normally.
So I installed it on my BV8000 Pro.
And behold: no more charging whatever I try.

So I uninstalled it, and at least it looks like original charger is working after restart (not factory reset).

Please check/verify, since I installed it on 20180105-1104 too, and had the same problem.

I've been using that same app for months, on different firmware versions, and never had problems with charging. And I've tried every new firnware since August.
