That is not the latest available rom. Update to latest, 20171227 or at least to 20171219.
I also had reboots, after updating to 20171219 no more reboots; the same with 20171227.
Remember a factory reset.

This sounds promising! Can you please confirm that there have been no reboots in the long run? How many days have passed since flashing? Thanks in advance!

hello Chris, usually I switch on my mobile at 8:00a.m. and switch off at 24:00.
No reboots since I updated to 20171219 on 24th december: I think it was caused in some way with the battery drain problem, I have the CD cpu, but I can't be 100% sure.

With older roms I had 2-4 reboots per day.

Hi mate, thanks for getting back to me. Could you try and leave the phone on for 24 h for a week or so? Thing is normally I have my phone on 24 h and since it was rebooting at night I started the on and off routine - just like you I turn in on at 8:00 a.m. and switch off at 24:00. Reboots are very rare sometimes the phone goes fine a whole day sometimes it reboots though... I think that 7 days 24 h constant on state would be a true test for us, for now it could have been pure luck. I will flash mine BV8000 Pro this weekend and be posting the results.

After update to 20171219 my stop restarting except the moment when I accidentally press power button for long time. Before this accidentally restart it works around 200 hours and now it is working from 85 hours without restart and charge. After 12 days from charging it has 72% battery and shows that can withstand next 29 days. I constantly don't have time to migrate from BV5000 so I think that it lay on desk for a few days more and I can report how it behaves.

i'v the same Problems like the other people here, sometimes my BV8000 boots 2-4x per day, sometimes it work for some days OK.
So the next step is to make a Firmware update, also i ordered a new charching bord vrom Aliexpress. But maybe a update can help as i can see here....

question:
I want to update the Firmware to the latest one, after that i done it, are the phone than in factory Settings? So i have to install all apps and adjustments new? I will do it with SP MDT tool or with Smartphone Flash tool if it works better.

Yeah, it's hard to judge the relevance of the update when you have data transmission disabled and are not using the device, not much of a test, but the battery readout is promising. Thanks fro sharing, I will flash my BV soon and we will be able to compare results.

I think about updating via local update (transfer update file to the phone, then start it from there). I get a warning that data may be erased, so I did not do it yet. Has anyone tried to update to BV8000Pro_blackview_20171219 and can tell me if it will erase data?

Local update is broken - I did it already and nothing happened to my phone - no data was erased but no new ROM was loaded also, when I checked the version old ROM was still in effect. It looked like it was working - there was an update screen going on, the phone rebooted but nothing happened in the end. Admin told me to do a flash procedure, you know with the PC application.
