Sorry Admin....but do you think is acceptable that there are so many faulty blackview 8000? Most of us have the same problems: overheating and a dull charging-discharging behavior. What have we bought? Do something as soon as possible it is our right.....don't forget who spent the money.... I am quite angry, we pay and we deal with sellers....I would like to see blackview take a serious action instead of shrugging responsibilities.

We collect, track and try to fix every single issue. Issues may happen ;)
The seller is the one who manages warranty terms, that's how it works (also for many other companies!). Get your device replaced and you will be happy again ;)

Yeah, kinda blows my mind how all these production-based problems are somehow our responsibility to deal with...
This will be the last Blackview I buy if this is their general attitude about things.

Re: [SOLVED] bv8000 pro overheat

I know this post is almost a year old...so is my bv8000. What I've noticed and lived with is during summer months, while outside, the bv800 easily overheats even when it's NT actively being used .. it gets hot as hell, hangs, reboots, etc. This doesn't happen during cooler months. I attribute this to the heavy case/cladding, which is formidable and restrictive toward ventilation. Other than this, it's been a great performing phone - heavy tasking doesn't phase it, it's tough as hell, i haven't needed to add additional storage due to the 64g on board....yes, a great phone indeed, with exception to the fact that it is prone to overheating.

More heat is quite normal under heavy use.

Solved? It overheats and hangs / reboots from normal use? I don't think you understand what I'm saying. The bv8000 has a design flaw - it's prone to overheating under 'normal use'. When it doesn't overheat under normal use, I'd consider the issue 'solved'.

If the phone overheats under normal use, it means that such unit is defective. I use the BV8000 Pro every day, and never overheats. This is not a design flaw, but a flaw regarding your specific unit, wich has an hardware problem.
You'll have to contact your seller to have it replaced under warranty, if warranty still runs.

Unfortunately, I'm stuck with the overheating problem - the 12month limited warranty has expired. At this point, it doesn't matter if it's a design flaw or defective unit.... I should have reported this last summer.

Hi. My bv 8000 pro is also overheating when in use. The battery only lasts 6/7 hours. I made a reset and the camera app simply disappeared. Flashlight not working too. What would you recomend? Thanks

Please try to perform a factory reset following this tutorial:

If this can't solve your issue, it is hardware fault related. In this case you'll have to contact your seller to have your phone replaced/repaired under warranty.
