Hi. I have a Blackview BV8000 Pro and via OTA I have the update to BV8000Pro-Blackview-v0.1_20170803_20180522-1555. I download it but after the process, it gives me the message of ZIP error file.

I have downloaded the Android 8 ROM from the FORUM. Can I update the Firmware via Local Update with no risk? I'm afraid of a brick if I try to update the OS.

Hi there!
Local update (as known as "installing an update from a file you saved in your microsd card") is working only for the Oreo Rom (so not for the Android 7 ones!). Local update is safe.

If OTA updates for other Android 7 versions don't work as expected, please perform a factory reset and try again
