[SOLVED] SOS button, back button bugs, SD card and case modification.

Thu Apr 05, 2018 12:31 pm

Hello, I have a BV8000 pro and I'm almost satisfyed except :
If you activate the multifunction switch (for SOS option), the unit partially reboot and you loose fingerprint identification... Only usable in ptt mode.
The sensitivity of back button is a real nightmare, works in avery small area... from time to time.

I customized the usb and phone connection with my dremel to be able to connect any cable or phone without dedicated adapters. (pictures)

I installed a 128go SD card (previous 64) because of many offline maps, it works perfectly if you format them in Fat32.

My rom is 20180308, the only "cleanely" rootable, it's strange because it's written buil V0.1_20170803)

Neverd heard or seen that pressing the SOS button will make your device reboot..... very uncommon and weird isssue!
Your unit may be defective... but after such case modifications i don't think that your seller would replace it under warranty...

Thanks for your answer, my sos bug is not very important (what could be defective ?) as I only use PTT function with Zello. I desactivate the multifonction key in parameters.
My real very bad problem is the back button that sometimes don't respond at all and when it "works", the sensitive area is just about1-2mm wide on the right of the back arrow. Very uncomfortable and it seems to depend of application (not sure).
The case modification is very minor, just 1 mm of rubber protection around the plugs
