I've read up on code 10 and it talks about re-installing all sorts of usb bits and bobs - I'm not fancying breaking my windows machine... I think I will patiently wait for the lovely Blackview folks to push out the next OTA update ASAP.

I got an official changelog and flash files for the 20180124 update.
It has been released to fix/mitigate the reboot issue, so please flash it, perform a factory reset and report back

i'd like to keep this thread on topic, but i want to say that getting the "code 10 error" in device manager after istalling the Mediatek drivers is normal: everything will work as it should, don't worry![]()
Now let's get back to the topic
Well ,everyone is getting code-10 error i think as there is no hardware and we are only installing the drivers,I also got the same code-10 error and it had no issue with flashing new ROM.
So you need not to worry,Just check when you switch off your phone and plug it with your Pc ,Does you windows gives a sound of device connection or not?
Yes you are right "khaqanson" code 10 is not a problem.
It's okay not to be afraid. You can normally proceed with the flashlight
