That thread is not talking about duraspeed, but the background task clear feature. It seems like if you flash the latest upgrade, it's always on, even if you turn if off manually. So the solution seems to be setting it on and whitelisting all apps, just the same you did with duraspeed. And I guess you can then disable duraspeed again
