Local update is not working at the moment, so the only way is to flash it. It may seem difficult the first time you do it, but once you do it once, it's easy easy. In fact, I've just done it an hour ago or so, and it's the fifth or sixth time I do so with this phone. The most 'problematic' step is the installation of the drivers, but if you follow the tutorial on this same forum, you'll be ok, and your phone flashed in a matter of minutes. It's worth the hassle, rather than not being able to charge the phone.

The problem here seems not if it's easy or not to flash the rom, the problem is that the mobile seems to not be detected by the pc...so with local update broken it is impossible to flash.
A workaround could be use an external app replacing the local flash, such as mobile odin (which was only for samsung devices) or the newer flashfire.
But even if flashfire would work (and I don't know as I never used it) you must have root, and adding that most of affected users have low battery, this sounds like a nightmare...

Absolutely not, as luckily I don't have this problem :D

Without seeing with my eyes I can only think about it and propose something.
I don't like windows 10 too much, if possible I would try a windows 7 machine and maybe use usb 2 ports instead of usb 3.
Again these are only suggestions.

Last thing, again, you need to preserve the battery, luckily "playing" with the pc flash doesn't discharge it as the phone must be shut down.

Yes I've tried it many many times, with different combinations of cables, chargers, even with different computers and systems, just read my previous posts man... Before this crappy update, I was able to flash the phone on windows and linux. After this update, phone is not recognized to be able to flash in any PC with any OS. So this is really bad situation!

Definitely a bad situation, i'm very sorry for that.
We'll solve it as soon as possible by a new OTA update and/or making the local update feature work as it should.
In the mean time, DON'T WASTE YOUR BATTERY CHARGE, you'll need it soon!

problem is not with the PC or the windows version : even under windows 10, com ports are well installed but phone is not recognized

PROBLEM IS WITH THE BV8000 AND THIS F....G OTA UPDATE

please stop telling us other things you know its not true and find a solution or tell clearly if we have to trash the phone and buy another

Hey, i know that this issue is very very annoying, but calm down.
Checking things, asking and having a detalied report of the problem is always the first step for a fix, expecially when users report different aspects about the same problem (i.e. user albatros stated, in the first page, that using the original charger and cable made the device charge again)

As i stated above, we'll solve it as soon as possible by a new OTA update and/or making the local update feature work as it should (so that you can flash an older firmware).
In the mean time, DON'T WASTE YOUR BATTERY CHARGE, you'll need it soon!
