Update: After replacing the charging board in my phone on the 21st I've experienced no further restarts, it seems to have resolved the issue.

It does seem that this was a hardware issue after all,
To reiterate the board I purchased was version 1.1

And the replaced board was a version 1.1 too. That's weird

One should at least wait 2 weeks before stating the reboots are really gone. I once had 10 days without reboot before they came back (did not change the board yet).

You're right, I spoke too soon, it just restarted on it's own...

That's really bad! The one I ordered is 1.0, at least the images say that. But it will take some more weeks until it reaches me, I guess.

Although the tech team stated that it's an hardware issue, what about flashing the 20171219 firmware in the mean time to see if the issue gets mitigated?

This firmware solved the battery drain problem that plagued some users and that was commonly associated also with sudden reboots.....

Will this be available via OTA?
