[OBTAINED] Request: Option to deactivate the PTT/SOS button

Mon Oct 02, 2017 2:49 pm

In most days, I do not need the PTT/SOS button functionality (standard working days).
However, accidentally pressing it activates the functionality I don't need.
Is there an option to deactivate it through some settings?
And keep the option of reactivating it when needed?

As this option is already implented in alterenative ROMs it shoud not take ages to do the same in the stock ROM.

Deactivate or change it to something else.

I'd like the option to be able to control the flash with it.

I just removed the 4 screws that hold the little aluminum cover, removed the PTT button and put some strips of black electrical tape over the inner button. Put the cover back on and 4 screws. NOW the PTT never gets hit by accident !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello,
I also would like to have the PTT button programmable. I don't need the PTT function. And, I hate the alarm function!
Otherwise, I love my new bv8000!
Thank you,

Will forward this request to the tech team. It shouldn't be too hard to be implemented! ;)
