Try this: wipe data/factory reset in recovery (this will delete your data/settings):
- Power off and then press Power and Volume-up together for around 10 Seconds
- be sure that the little arrow point on recovery (select with volume up, enter with volume down)
- Then the open android with red triangle+"no command" is shown - press Power and Volume up together again
- Select Wipe data/factory reset with volume keys, confirm with power
- After factory reset select reboot system now

Please report if this solved your issue or not.

Hi.

Thanks for the info as I was able to get out of the Grey screen of death that occured while adjusting eyebrow mode suddenly the screen went grey and I was not able to access anything on the screen. Tried forced reboot, phone would boot and icons were there just for two to three seconds and grey screen of death again.
I followed your instructions as I did not know how to get over the Android with the red triangle and no command info on screen, but as soon as I pressed power and volume up button toghether for just a bit and released them the factory reset screen came up like it should. So now I got it working which is the good news, the not so good news is that all I had was erased. Well, like they say, you can't win them all. At least I got my BV8000pro working again.
Seems like lots of issues with this BV8000pro which I have to confirm as I just got the phone last week. But thanks for the input as your instructions worked for me.

I'm very disappointed with Blackview, 1 year ago I bought BV6000 and had issues with software and hardware from beginning, I expected that BV8000 would be finally better quality but it seems that Blackview just wanted to create waterproof phone but doesn't care about quality of the rest, so I have the similar problems from beginning like other ones here: terrible contrast on highlighted areas, poor camera quality, bluetooth audio issues and there's still no update to fix :-/ ...guys from Blackview please wake up! I've hardly saved money to buy this phone I don't expect anything excellent but please at least no issues! Thank you

I'm experiencing "touchscreen freezes", where everything still seems to be working (video plays, volume button works, rotation works) except nothing registers on the touchscreen. Sometimes it starts working again, sometimes have to wait for the screen to time out and shut off, and it works again when you turn it back on.

Anybody else have this problem?

Running 20170804, wiped data.

Oh. and the back button is very erratic - sometimes work, sometimes doesn't.

Hi, I have the same problem in my phone and it is two days old :)
How did you solve this problem?
Best regards

For a start I would like to say that - as a owner of two Elephones - I must say that Blackview seems to be reacting very fast to reported problems, and that the forum-admins are very active in comparison to Elephone-admins.

This is a "two-thumbs-up" for Blackview-after-sales-service from me!

If someone is having problems with syncronization or apps not working properly: Disable the "background task clear" in the settings.

This is actually not a BV8000-specific phenomenon. This Nougat-Feature is for battery- and RAM-saving. It does what the name says: it clears background-tasks.
And OF COURSE this stops the corresponding apps from synchronizing! When the app is "cleared" from memory, it's no longer active and of course no longer doing anything, including sync'ing.

Really guys, at least think for a second.

Possible solution for momentary touchscreen freezes....

When I turned on clear background tasks in settings, the phone stopped freezing

My BV 8000 PRO can not be charged now.
And it can not do anything because already lost the battery.

Perhaps a couple of weeks ago, even if do not connect the connectors, the indication "Charging " appears and battery lost has become significant.
And it was not possible to charge yesterday.

I can't any solve this issue, I'm Singapore, no more service centre...
