[SOLVED] Phone restarts when connected to wifi

Thu Jul 27, 2017 12:36 am

Hello, I recently bought the BV8000pro and I noticed that whenever it is connected to WiFi it keeps restarting. When the WiFi is disconnected or turned off the phone runs smoothly.

I was wondering if there is a patch or ROM available that would address this issue, as my phone is virtually unusable at the moment. I cannot browse the internet or use any internet app with out the phone rebooting every couple of seconds until I turn off the WiFi. It is 2017 my phone needs to be connected to the internet.

Hope to have this issue resolved ASAP.
Thank you for your time.

Thank you for your feedback.
Had you tried to update to the latest Firmware version and made a factory reset after that? This could help.

Hello,
Thanks for the reply.

I have tried factory reseting it, but that did not help.

I have also noticed it only restarts when connected to my home WiFi, It does not restart when connected to other WiFi networks. Perhaps a certain WiFi setting is triggering the reboot cycle.

As for the latest firmware, when I go to my phone settings it says my phone is currently up to date. Is there a specific update I need to do? and if so where would I find it.

I downloaded the latest ROM that you provided.

There was no success. The phone still restarts when connected to my home WiFi.

Could you please make a new WiFi patch. Like I said previously when my phone is connected to a different WiFi network it doesn't restart. It only restarts when connected to my home router. Which makes suspect there is an underlying software bug that is being triggered by specific WiFi network configuration.

If you could look into this further it would be very much appreciated.
