May be...
You check "setting"-"Background task clear".
if enabled, checked on mail application of white list.

Email synchronization

Dear

I put the smartphone in data transfer on ON position
I put the WIFI on OFF position
I set synchronization every 5 minutes
I set notification on YES

The mail application is CLOSE on BV8000
I send mail at 13h35
After more than 10 minutes waiting no notification coming on BV8000.
I open mail application on BV8000 and 1 minutes after I received message on incoming box but without notification.

The mail application is OPEN on BV8000
I send mail at 14h00
After more than 10 minutes waiting no notification coming on BV8000
I check mail no new message
I select Show more after les less of 1 minute I received message on incoming box but without notification.

I do the same test with WIFI ON and data transfer OFF
Exactly the same result.

In conclusion:
Or my settings are not correct or the application is not designed for email synchronization and notification.

Question
Can you tell me if the BV8000 have an email synchronization?
Can you tell me if the BV8000 have an email notification?

If YES can I have the setting procedure

I would update to the latest OTA and reset your phone if your still facing an issue with the mail, I dont have this problem in my phone and I have 5 accounts IMAP.

are you using POP3 or IMAP?
