Tab8 often shuts down for no reason

Hello,
I've just obtained a new Tab8. It came with firmware build number "Tab8_EEA-P30_V1.0_20201022V06". No OTA update is available. It shuts down by itself every few hours. I've read that other users experience the same issue. When will this get fixed?

Hello, The Mainboard was broken, you can contact the after-sale department straightly: support02@blackview.hk.
Where and when did you purchase this Tab8?

I have the same problem with the Tab8. I received my tablet two days ago. I am in Albania. What can I do?

Yes, the same problem as this post. The tablet shuts down/reboots frequently for no reason.

Has this problem been patch by the file referenced in the other post about Tab8 shutdown?? I have already downloaded the patch file referenced in the other post, but I'd like step by step instructions for applying it . The instructions I saw weren't clear enough.

Thank you.

Thanks, I've just contacted support02@blackview.hk. The device was originally purchased last November on Amazon Germany but has already been replaced once.

I have that firmware update downloaded on another device that I can use. Can you please provide detailed instructions how to apply the firmware update? That's not something that you should expect that a end user can do without detailed instructions. So that's all I'm asking for, instructions as to how to do the firmware update using that 1.7 or so GB file that is provided at the link you reference.

I am several hours from the place I bought it and they have told me that they require me to come in person into the shop in order to have them address the issue. So I'd like to try to resolve it myself if I can, but instead of searching online for instructions how to apply a firmware update I would like to get the instructions from Blackview. It's the least you guys can do considering the tablet is unusable in it's current state.

There are tools, drivers, and instructions in this link. When upgrading, turn off the tablet first. When choosing to upgrade, long-press the volume down button and plug in the data cable to connect to the computer.  https://mega.nz/folder/ra4CGawT#ygurrUkkE1b95mzj9KkvXg

That looks like a reworked version of ODIN?
