Problem with flash ROM BV7000_PRO_Blackview_20170712

Sun Jul 30, 2017 5:32 pm

I have problem with flashing updated ROM.

Configuration:
- Android version: 7.0
- Build: BV7000_PRO_Blackview_20170609

When I try to flash updated ROM BV7000_PRO_Blackview_20170712 as described on page viewtopic.php?f=176&t=191529, flashing starts but the I get the following error:

PMT changed for the ROM; it must be downloaded
Please select "Format All + Download"

According to instructions published on page viewtopic.php?f=176&t=141026, only "Download" must be selected. I definitely don't want to format (and loose everyting).

So what should I do?

Best regards,

Mitja

Hello Mitja, was your device delivered with Android 7? Then you need to use this version instead: 20170717

If it was delivered with Android 6 please post here again. In that case I have to forward your issue to our technician.
If you would choose Format All + Download for flashing you may loose your IMEI/Mac-adress.

Yes, it was delivered with 7.0, build BV7000_PRO_Blackview_20170609.

Your advice is to use version 20170717 to update ROM, but instructions on page viewtopic.php?f=176&t=191529 explicitly say that this update is only for devices that upgraded from 6.0 to 7.0:

BV7000_PRO_Blackview_20170717 to fix the blink screen problem
The below flash rom is only for andriod 6.0 devices and that ones that had been upgraded from android 6.0 to 7.0 by user

So who is right: "Official ROM download links" document or blackview_admin?

Hello blackview_admin,
Can I please get answer to my question: I have BV7000 Pro with original Android 7.0 and you adviced me to use version 20170717 for update, but your official advice on Official ROM download links says this version is only for 6.0 devices and 7.0 that were upgraded from 6.0.

Can you please explain this?

If your problem is still unsolved please try to use the software multi port flash: http://spmdttool.com/sp-mdt-v3-1728-00

Thanks for the reply, but what you propose is too dangerous. Flash tool SP_MDT_v3.1728.00.00 that you propose does not have "Download only" option, but only options that include format operation: "Format and Download All", "Format all", "Firmware upgrade" and "Format bootloader".

Is there really no tool to read partition info from MTK 64bit phone? That way we could find out what is the problem and why SP_Flash_Tool_v5.1724_Win complains that PTK has changed.

Use option "Firmware upgrade".
