The IP-68 rating is only for clear fresh water (for every phone and manufacturer)!
Salt water could be bad for the components and you should clean the device in fresh water after dropping it in salty water. It's not recommended for frequent use in salt water.

OK sure, i only ASK because my kids ASK if they can take it once Into the sea /Beach when we are in our vacation.
