How to replace the 'menu' key by the 'recent apps' key ?

Hi, do you know if the 'menu' key can be replaced by the 'recent apps' key ?
Because the 'menu' key is almost useless and it's a waste of time to hold the 'home' key to access the recent apps.
Nowadays, all Android phones have the standard keys : recents apps, home and back keys.
Moreover, when Android 7 will be available, the 2 taps 'recent apps' key shortcut will be impossible to do with the current configuration (very usefull Android 7 shortcut to quickly switch between the 2 most recent apps).
Thanks
Sorry for my English
