Blackveiw BV7000 Frequencies

Mon Apr 17, 2017 11:44 pm

Hello How are you

I need an answer on this as I have people waiting to buy. If I cant get a reply I will have to send them all back as they are no use to me otherwise

Trying to connect the BV7000P to the Telstra Network in Australia

Telstra Network Bands
http://whirlpool.net.au/wiki/mobile_phone_frequencies

3G Band
850MHz (B5)
2100MHz (B1)

4G/LTE
2100MHz (B1)
1800MHz (B3)
2600 (B7)
900MHz (B8)
700MHz (B28)
**2G is being fazed out in Australia**

This Phone works on Optus and VodaPhone in Australia but the Problem is that this Phone will only receive and send sms on the Telstra Network, we would like to know how this can be fixed.

I personally would like to start importing these units to Australia and have already bought 6 but, if they are not able to go onto the Telstra network then there is no point bringing them in, as due to coverage area in Australia, Telstra has the greatest coverage of all the Tel-cos and that is a huge market in its self, for you!. Its a shame as I think these are the best phones I have ever seen for the price. I became aware of Your products when a colleague came back from Chine with a BV5000. I really liked the look of them. But I started to buy the Blackview when you came out with the BV6000. Now you have the BV7000, as stated I have bought 6 units for testing but I think they are the best phones I have ever seen and the people I sell to, Police, Fire Fighters, Emergency Services, security, they are going to be buying these but due to there jobs they will need to work on the Telstra network. Please fix this or tell me how to and I will be buying lots of them and all other upgrades to this phone. I have sold the BV6000 here and It worked on the Telstra network. What changed?

Regards

Thank you for your quick reply

I have just finished speaking to the Technical Section of Telstra and we have been trying to figure this out

On their 4G bands they now use 850 MHz as well and it seems to be very important as there seems to be no other reason the BV7000 will not work. They have suggested that I activate the 850MHz Band myself. I don't know how to do that, any suggestions please ? ;) ;)

I have the same frequencies in Canada and CAN NOT CONNECT.
Please be advised this phone does not appear to be operating on the advertised frequencies and returning the phone through the seller has not been working so far.

bituerbo, what carrier do you use in canada? I am on Virgin Mobile Canada and just got the BV7000 Pro because it says it works on LTE bands 3 and 7 and I am also having problems getting it to connect. I have contacted Virgin customer service and they confirmed the sim card number, IMEI numbers and APN info but it won't work.

It manages to pick up the Virgin 4G listing but won't register.

Did you checked the frequency in Canada? Can you please send the frequency range in Canada for our reference?

blackview_admin - I am in Canada and I am also having the same problem as bituerbo

Virgin Mobile Canada uses Bands 2,3,4 and 7

I am able to see Virgin - 4G listed in my Cellular Network - Network Operators section but when it tries to register, it fails.

Does the new firmware fix this? Do you know of any other fixes?

Obviously the advertised frequencies are not fully supported.
Send back your phone or file a claim for wrong advertising...

Bump.

I have just "upgraded" from a BV6000 to the BV7000 Pro on Australia's Telstra network and am having the exact same issue. The product does not appear to function on the advertised bands and I cannot make/receive phone calls, only data and text. Fully updated, using SIM slot 2. The OP is nearly two months old, so surely either the issue has been resolved somehow or the apparently-false advertising corrected...?
