BV7000pro battery management "quality"

Wed Aug 09, 2017 1:46 pm

I just uploaded an impressive video of my BV7000pro screen recording showing the quality of Blackviews battery management.
42% to 0 in 2 minutes - while connected to USB...

Sorry, I am not able to watch your video.

Is only the shown information wrong or do you think your battery is defective?
Sometimes only the battery status shows wrong information. Flashing + factory reset may help in this case.

Yes, the yideo got deleted by Youtube...

But the general recipe for all issues from Blackview_Admin is: flash latest software and do a factory reset.
Fortunately this is not needed by nearly all other brands to sort out issues, it's a Blackview specific solution speaking for Blackview product quality.

If Blackview would provide a recovery solution which would enable the user to back up hid apps and settings and restore afterwards this would be a feasable way, but with more than 200 apps installed this is a) expensive to download again and again over metered connection and b) a whole days work each time you ask to do this.
As you give this recipe to just every issue a standard user would have to do this like once a month and after at maximum 3 months buy a better phone because he is fed up by the non-willingness of the company to even research into issues and/or provide dedicated and educated support staff.

I don't know is my BV700PRO magical in some strange way, but it just passed 3rd week on one charge, and still 25% of battery left.

Maybe there is the problem

Why buy a phpone with 64 GB if you don't install apps?
I don't buy my phones to show off with technical data but to use the phone - you seem to not use your phone at all if you manage to have 25% left after 3 weeks... Even just on standby I can't get that values - also not if I delete all apps with a factory reset...

There is a backup solution in the recovery mode providing exactly this. But in most cases by recovering your backup you also recover the issue.

I already learned 8 languages, but Chinese isn't covered and won't be in future.
Please don't expect your customers to learn Chinese to handle your recovery solution if you want to sell the phones outside of China!
Other manfacturers have no problem providing English recovery, but Blackview has an issue to do anything for customers which already have bought their phones...

I understand that it can be frustrating to have problems with your device but please keep writing friendly.

Of course we provide an English recovery in our original firmware. The menu on your picture is NOT the recovery mode. This is the way you can open it:
- Power off and then press Power and Volume-up together for around 10 Seconds
- be sure that the little arrow point on recovery (select with volume up, enter with volume down)
- Then the open android with red triangle+"no command" is shown - press Power and Volume up together again

I edited your answer to make my answer more understandable.
I do 1, 2, 3 and I get back to menu 2
Not once but tried multiple times...

I know, now I should factory reset and flash to the latest firmware
