Hello everyone. Have any of you attempted rooting yours bv7000? I've tried few mainstream apps already with no luck. I need it to block annoying YouTube ads, as they are getting out of control.

Hello, I am also waiting for an answer to this question. I've tried doing root but there is no way. There are manuals on the web that assure that you can get the KingRoot, but I have tried it and you can not.

The "manuals" in the web are just generic and lead you to Kingroot without the actual phone mentioned has been successfully rooted...

This is specific for this phone but neither of the two programs suggested to do root works on the terminal. Another question .... Have you managed to install some custon recovery?

Let us root the thing already so that we can finally get rid of the default Browser (that crap can't even be disabled or customized), and install Adaway and other useful apps.

you mat try brave browser instead of the default. It has some default ad blocking capabilities, which hides ads which disrupt normal browsing. Try it - it might solve browsing issues for most of the sites.

That's not the point, I already have another browser which is set as the default one. The problem is the vanilla browser opens by itself when interacting with some links in other apps (it simply ignores apps settings), which leads to the default page being opened (and which can't be even changed, despite telling settings to do otherwise) instead of whatever was the original destination. It would be easy to fix that by disabling Browser altogether, but for some reason the OS won't allow that with the only option being root access for killing that crap entirely.

As for Adaway, that's a global ad blocker, meaning it blocks every single ad, and not something that works only while browsing web pages. It only works when root access is allowed.

Why won't the admins address this issue? This silence doesn't exactly play on their behalf.

I think it's because this model is new and has relatively little in the market. I made the BV6000 root following the instructions on the web, with this still no one has set to try to achieve it. We hope that it will be achieved soon.
