I have installed marshmallow and nougat on the blackview P2 using the SP flashtool - but I cant install twrp using the same SP flashtool .

Basically I loaded the scatter file of marshmallow, then clicked on the location of the recovery image file and replaced it with the twrp img file that I had downloaded separately.
But the alternative recovery was not flashed . twrp img was not flashed. It remained stock recovery

What am I doing wrong ?

Do you know fastboot (you have to download it)? That could be an alternative. Boot your phone with USB debugging enabled in the developer option set to on (very important) into recovery mode (connect then phone via USB).

Open CMD window in Windows and in the directory where you have the TWRP-file stored issue the commands:

fastboot oem unlock
fastboot flash recovery Name_of_recovery_file.img

You have P2, not P2 lite, right?

You have to rename the image file before you can flasgh it

Thanks but I had to return my phone because of a hardware issue.

I will order another bvp2 !!!
