Blackview P2 battery charges very slow after Nougat 7.0 ROM update (ROM: P2_blackview_201706200934)

When phone needs to be charged as getting very low on battery. You then plug in the charger to charge the phone whilst the screen is still on and the current going into the phone is extremely low and is not charging the phone.

If you turn the phone off and plug in the charger the phone will charge.

Needs an OTA update to fix this issue.

It has already been mentioned this bug in a previous post on July 26th. So the OTA update to fix this issue seems to be taking a long time to appear.

When entering your finger prints the sensitivity isn't great after nougat update either. Needs improving but this battery issue is a major bug that needs a fix.

Hi commonlyknownasryan,

You would need to clear all your data to factory reset. This can be done like in the previous post:

wipe data/factory reset in recovery (this will delete your data/settings):
- Power off and then press Power and Volume up together for around 10 Seconds
- be sure that the little arrow point on recovery (select with volume up, enter with volume down)
- Then the open android with red triangle+"no command" is shown press Power and Volume up together again
- Select Wipe data/factory reset with volume keys, confirm with power
- After factory reset select reboot system now

or via the settings menu in Backup & Reset choosing Factory data reset.

I guess you know that already, but just to mention this, phones have a charging control and the current varies a lot during charging, mostly depending on heat. Phones may also reduce the charging current for a certain time, as the load conditions changed, but then raise again.

Concerning the fingerprint scanner, I fear this is something that comes from Google. It is reported on many other phones, too. We can't solve this and need to wait for a patch from Google. This seems to be related to the newly introduced deep sleep function that cannot be switched off.

Maybe worth a try, in the settings you could try to disable battery optimisation for the system app called Input devices.
