Bluetooth switches off and on again when inactive

I have a problem with my P2.
The bluetooth connects fine and when I'm playing music through bluetooth headphones or my car bluetooth system it works fine. It stays connected and behaves itself.
However, as soon as I pause the music (i.e. when the phone is inactive) about once a minute the bluetooth switches off and back on again.
I have turned off standby intelligent power saving.
I have enabled developer options and set the screen to never sleep.
I have changed app settings for all bluetooth and music player apps so that they are not battery optimized.
Can anyone help?
