Yes, it is.
I have been trying various recoveries on the Blackview A8 MAX for about a week now, with the SP Flash Tool.
Blackview software automatically replaces the recovery when Android boots, so after flashing a new recovery, one has to boot
directly to the recovery, using VOL-UP + POWER. Sadly, the farthest I've gotten in flashing recoveries is a temporary black screen and then
the Blackview logo pops up and boots the phone normally.
If someone could provide a TWRP image tailored for the A8 Max, all of us would be much obliged.
