Hey blackview_admin, hey community

i found this security-check for new kind of attacks based on bluetooth:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... e_detector

Article: https://www.armis.com/blueborne/

Android users should verify that they have the September 9, 2017 Security Patch Level

i'm using the current 20170708-rom, which includes the newer android-security-patch - sadly, we're affected to this "8 zero-day vulnerabilities".

Edit: The solution would be to update to the right security-patch (like in the quote/article)
Old: since this is not a solution and i like to give some constructive critique, i also saw a comment, that means the problem is already solved and updated for the fairphone - maybe the solution is really simple to implement and you would find usefull source there. (Old end) (there's no stroke)

anyway, at least in my eyes, 4 critical zero-days are it worth to bring a OTA-update. because of this affects most (if not all) of the mobile-phones you produce, a generall solution would be great for others.

best regards

vinzenz

I wanted to comment on the same thing about the new vulnerability that appeared in September. As well as joining the partner's request for an updated ROM.

I would like to know approximate deadlines for the publication of the ROM

Thanks in advance!

dear blackview_admin,

i'm very happy that you still publish updates, but the security-patch-date is still on the 5. Juni 17.

To be protected from blueborne, we should have at least a patch from september. Is this a such big change in the system or why you do not update it?

This feels not very good - when i use a bluetooth headphone and i have a bitcoin-app or something on my phone, it's very easy to get this, for example. Or important files could just be deleted, wrong evidences could be smuggled to our phones, etc etc.. endless, unwantet possibilitys for others.

Please integrate this in your future updates! In BV8000 Pro (of a friend) it's the same security-patch-date and when i want to recommend your products, they should be secure as possible, but it's still not.

Is there any motivation to wait with this?

regards

hersche

What model are you talking about?
With the last update I received I'm still having the 5th June 2017 android security patch version for BV8000 pro.
Is ther any most recent update than V0.1_20170803_20180307-1950?
