i've tried it with my phone, i've a twrp-, xposed- and rootet phone. it's very logic that a OTA only works with stock-recovery (i've tried already a local update with twrp, absolut fail).
Well, they prevented fails on my phone - there's a message like "your phone is rootet, you could not update".
So i unrootet my phone, still the same message. Then i've overwrite the system-partition (there i'm excepting the rootet stuff) - anyway the same message about rooting.
In the end, i reflashed the complete phone, also userdata (factory reset like) - after this, i was able to update.
Works ok so far, but no updated security-patches (still 5. juni 17), only the kernel looks updatet.
Sometimes i had a bug, which kick the wlan and bluetooth after a while (some hours) - it still find networks, but "authentification failed" - after a reboot, it works again. I hope, this update fix the issue, but it's to fresh to confirm this.
I did not try to root my phone since this update - no idea if this still work or if they have now more checks, which disallow twrp or so.
