Updated the tutorial because of a changed link to drivers.

There CAN be problems with other cables. You could ask your seller for a replacement or buy a new original cable for example on aliexpress.

Same problem for me.
My BV6000 was updated at the latest Android 6 version via OTA, I tried to flash the latest version of Android 7 (the BV6000_blackview_20170908 corrected on Sep. 18,2017) following carefully the flashing guide, everything went fine, but after the update I have still the Android 6.0.
I attach a screenshot.

I didn't understand what Android version I would have found in the ROM 20170908...
I decided to compleatly reset my phone following this guide: http://bbs.blackview.hk/viewtopic.php?f=142&t=128401
But I had two annoying problems not mentioned in the tutorial:
- to flash the ROM 20160822_s12v55_jk_3m you need to modify the file Checksum.ini changing the line CHECKSUM_SWITCH=1 in CHECKSUM_SWITCH=0
- the mtk drivers are really crappy, it's really difficult to make them work, to complete the steps I tried XP 32 bit, Windows 10 64 bit and Windws 7 64 bit.
What worked for me was this file under Windows 7 64 bit: http://mtkusballdriver.com/download/mtk-usb-v1-0-8. I downloaded it, unzipped, execute the program (it generate a folder with drivers inside) and inside the folder "MTK_Driver_ ext", I executed "DriverInstaller.exe".
I worked a lot of hours (surely it was interesting but not so funny) only for the driver problem...
After the complete restore my phone is running very fine, I restored original IMEI and I updated the original firmware 20160822 to 20161025 using the local update.
I wanted only ask two simple things:
- is there the possibility to have published a clear table with every ROM version and a relative description? (At least Android version and some note about how to flash. Info about changes and bug, they would also be very appreciated).
- after the complete restore I think that also the WiFi MAC, bluetooth addresses had been cleared. This should not be a problem but is there a way to recover and restore that information?
