Same issue with me. Memory card as internal storage: failed update.
Then formatted as external, tried OTA again and: finally it worked. 
But now i have to bring back music and fotos to the phone.  
I suggest for future updates to ignore the system-default writing memory and hardcode the use of internal memory.

Well, there is no way to upgrade using the computer.
Please do some transient local update.

Not everyone has the opportunity to update through the USB flash drive

1) OTA updates can't be predicted. They don't reach every user and don't reach every user at the same time
2) Performing an OTA update, obivously

4) Nobody can update and Android device with an USB flash drive....

2a-If the Admin uploads the OTA update, you can download the file to the phone directly and then do a local update using the update app you also use for OTA updates

Hello Admin, my BV6000 doesn't OTA anymore. The installed version is V01_20170708. I tried to do a local update with newer versions e.g. 20180330 and it started to update but failed after a few moments. The phone restarts with the old version. PC-update with Windows 10 doesn't work because of microsoft security reasons.
How can I update the phone? Please help.

LOCAL UPDATE isn't working correctly, unfortunately.
OTA or flashing are the only choice at the moment.

Yea, and OTA doesn't work properly either. Great.
So, basically, if you have 20170708 installed, you are stuck.
