I have one quick question, as my BV6000 also suffers from the capacitive buttons problem: Is this problem really fixed (for ALL hardware versions of BV6000) in ROM 20170706 (Android 7), as stated above by tomithyom for his phone? Alternatively, does ROM 20170708 (Android 6, if I am not mistaken) fix this problem entirely?

Yes it does, but 'Glove Mode' is taken away.

Just run the latest wireless update on your phone and the problem seems to be fixed. My phone came with Android 7.0 installed so I was experiencing this issue long before I heard it from anyone else. I was ready to get rid of the phone until this update came out.

Just run the update, if it doesn't fix the problem then no doubt Blackview has probably swapped more parts out. Crazy for a company introducing newer versions..

I think - from what I have read - that there has never been a problem with the capacitive buttons in any version of Android 6 (right?). So it appears to be a solution "for everyone" to roll back to Android 6 and have the button functionality restored, but I also understand that many people do not want to do it for different reasons.

There was definitely capacitive button problems on Android 6. When I got my phone, no version worked until the latest update.

The issue was no different with Android 6 or 7 .

@ blackview_admin,

Could you ask to BV6000 devs what it's possible to change in system/build prop for increase :
- capacitive buttons sensitivity
- main screen sensitivity

Please, don't tell me that you'll never say anything for rooted phones users !
I've rooted mine because it's only solution for some BV6000 bugs that BV team are not able to fix ...

for me, indeed, the issue is fixed. After more than half I can finally use my phone properly for the first time after I bought it.
I feel that the sensitivity of the touchscreen is a bit higher than would be convenient for me - it works, but if possible it would be great to have a setting in which the user can set the sensitivity to her/his own linking.

For different reasons i don't want to upgrade my BV6000 to last android 7 (fix screen) ...
I want absolutely a right GPS time (not a workaround solution) because for some outdoor activities (paraglide ...) it need a regular/official GPS time in log gpx files.
When i don't use tempered screen protection, sensitivity of screen and capacitive buttons is OK but for security i prefer using one and result is laggy behaviour of capacitive buttons.

My question : have someone experimented some changements (tweaks) in system/build.prop or other way (i'm rooted) for increase sensitivity of capacitive buttons on the BV6000 ?

If Blackview could give me a zip.file for fix only screen issues in android 6 that i could flash in TWRP it shoud be perfect but i'm dreaming ....
Thanks

The workaround for the GPS time problem is very easy, and you have to do it (i.e. manually changing the time zone) only once. After that, the time is absolutely correct. So, there is no reason not to use it.

Regarding the capacitive button problem, I had tried a lot, but nothing had worked. Now, with the new update, it is like finally my phone like a different model. Also, interestingly, I found that after the update charging time is massively reduced, from 8-12 hours it needed before, to 3-4 hours after the update.

Yes, but the batterie drain has increased as the same.

Since a long time and for any ROM, i've seen that capacitive keys are really more responsive if i take the phone in my hand than if i put it on a table ...
Is it body static electricity effect ?
Have some other users experimented the same behaviour ?
