You could also flash a never version.

I'm scared to flash my phone in case I brick it. I think I'll just wait and see if anybody else manages to get the OTA to work again as I can't believe I'm the only one having this problem

most user have this problem if they don't flash. I don't believe BV will get it work

Hi Phil, we have reported our person to active the OTA update again, there was some unknown reason caused this problem.

OTA updates are activated, it's just that for some unknown reasons some firmware versions don't detect updates... To solve this problem, you must either upgrade to the very next firmware (20170223 in your case) using the Local Update method, or flash to any firmware.

I might know why you blocked the possibility of local update after firm 20161216 (safe way to upload also viewed user information) in favor of flash mode, though more difficult to use?
Not everyone has a pc with win 10 and the necessary computer skills.
Why not release a 20170223 firm version of the local update? As the link for the 20170223 rom currently released does not work with local update.
Many users complain like me about the problem of getting the OTA up due to problems with your software.
This thing is really inexplicable.

Unfortunately I think it is not possible in the moment. If OTA and Local File don't work you could try flashing a newer ROM.
