Android 7.0 BUGS

Sat Feb 25, 2017 5:50 pm

Hi
I have done the Android 7 upgrade and did a factory reset and reinstalled all my apps.
I have experienced the following bugs :
1) WhatsApp notifications are not coming through , I have to open the WhatsApp application for message to come through. I have checked all notification settings and they are set correctly / default.
2) When I change the default ringtone to a mp3 I have stored on the phone's internal memory , it goes back to the default ringtone when I restart the phone.

For OTA 7.0, you may not update successfully.
Please follow the below steps and try again.
Enter into setting--about phone--wireless updating--search for the latest version.

Whats is the point of this reply ?
Copy and paste to everyone logging bugs ?
I have been in the IT industry for 17 years now, I know when a new bug is introduced. Dont tell me to restart my PC when I know something is wrong
I have rolled back to Android 6.0

1) BV6000 has a battery saving tool (somewhere in the settings). Make sure that Whatsapp is in the whitelist. Otherwise it might not work in the background.

After serveral days of use:
1) Bug with 3G/4G switching is still present - I have encountered it after 4 days of use - Resetting WiFi solves it for the time being
2) Bluetooth is ON all the time! or once turned ON it cannot be turned OFF (drains 15% battery) - But devices connect much faster and are more stable
3) Google play services have problem (I will try to solve it eventually by reinstalling services, possibly can be fixed)
4) The OS drains 15% battery (much more than 6.0)
5) Overall 35% more battery drain when idle compared to 6.0
6) At times notifications are delayed by 30-90 minutes

After updating to Android 7, my BV6000 has the BUG of continuous self-rebooting when I enter Hong Kong Science Park with WIFI turned on. It seems there is some BUG with WIFI. To stop the reboot, I have to leave the area covered by WIFI. I also find that the battery runs out more quickly. In fact, there is no advantage of updating to Android 7 for me.

For Android 7.0, we just opened up for only 3000 users, and from their experience, this is not stable, and now it is still in testing, we will share it timely on forum while Android 7.0 is ready.
