flashtool for linux

Sun Dec 18, 2016 10:51 pm

Hello,

OTA didn't work for me, so I'd like to do a manual update with flashtool.
I don't have windows, just linux, so i've downloaded falshtool for linux 64bits, but it can't open the scatter file, it says it is invalid.
Is there a special version of flashtool to use for the bv6000 ?

thanks for your help
ps : I hope this message will be published,as I have already tried to send a few messages some days ago that never got published

Which ROM are you trying to update to?
Not sure it has to do with the flashtool in itself, rathen than with the ROM provided. For example, the one in the "BV6000 New ROM of 20161011 for some problem fixing" returns also an invalid scatter file...

There was a link to download the rom (1.3Gb) in this forum, so i don't think you need flashtool for update the rom

There are flashtools to Linux already, just google SP flash tools

No it isn't
If you get the error 8417, like me you have to change the Scatter file. Look at Youtube.
I have try on firmeware 20161011, but whit out any success.
