Problems with Android Pay app

Just installed ANDROID PAY on my new BV6000, but when I try to use it, I get error "Google is unable to verify your device or software is Android compatible". I understand this message usually relates to rooted devices - but as far I I understand the BV6000 isn't rooted. Any help/advice would be much appreciated - thanks.

Hi,

what's the firmware version in your device now ? you can try a update to solve the problem.

Firmware update doesn't fix this problem.

My phone is ver. 20160822, is not rooted, and the Android pay still not working. So what update are we talking about? Is anyone here that has a bv6000 with working android pay?

Hi,

Any short videos for us to know more details about the problem ?

Best regards,
Admin

Like I mentioned in the other thread you posted this might have different reasons:
- some seller apps installed
- apps you installed like "lucky patcher"
- the built property "test-keys" instead of "release-keys" in the ROM

You might use as workaround:
- root the phone
- install xposed framework
- install module "RootCloak" and select Android Pay app to not be shown the root status
This works in my banking app...

Has someone released a root? Haven't been looking that hard yet.

I think the issue is not that the devices are rooted but have other issues as described above.
I use rooted device all the times but I know what to do for apps only running on unrooted devices...
Install an app like "Root checker" and you'll see that the su binary is not found, so the device is not rooted.
If it's rooted then just delete su binary and reboot.
