Can't connect any heart rate monitor via bluetooth - Android 7

Thu Jun 22, 2017 3:50 pm

Hi everyone!
I tried to connect my BV6000 to three different models of sport heart rate monitors (chest belt) with no success.
The phone don't see any of them. BT is turned ON, wifi and data transfer is OFF. All three belts works fine with other phones or watches.
My ROM version is V01_20170517.
Any suggestions?

Most of this heart rate monitors (chest belt) uses ANT+.
The BV6000 doesn't support ANT+ and that's very bad for an newly outdoor phone.

Hi! Thanks for the answers.
Firstly I CAN connect other BT devices, i.e. phones, speaker, even my car, so my BT module works fine.
Secondly I think I do't use ANT+ protocol to connect chest belt to other phones: in Endomondo it is seen as "SMART bluetooth sensor" not as "ANT+ sensor".
So if anyone can think of anything I can do, please do not hesitate co share the idea with me.

I had the same issue.. it's not BV6000 fault... the SmartBand may not be visible if connected to app.
Unlink from app, detect save it as Smartlock BT device..
Link in App again. Some operation may need reboot of phone / Smartband.. not all smartband FW has faulttolerant code..
My smartband was Lynwo M2S , HR/BP/O2 works great, sleep mon does not.. app is pretty good.

My BV6000 is the best phone I have had.. love it.

Must give BV sw guys an applaud... it had some issues Q3-Q4 2016 but they fixed it.. with updates almost every month.
With experience from Space HW/SW.. I hope you can keep up the good quality in FW.

Don't let Marketing force to many models.. It's better to sell working phones, then faulty ones with top hw and crappy sw.

Hi.
I know what you mean - I'v got smart band too. The difference is, that smart band is paired with the phone, and chest belt isn't. The chest belt signal isn't coded, so any device (or even several devices in the same time) can pick it up and display. My BV6000 can't do it - according to my BT modem, there is nothing in the neighborhood. It just see nothing around!
Once again, can anybody think what else to try?
