Have just bought a new Blackview bv6000, 6.0 build no. 20160713. Have had the phone a little over a week since delivery from China to Australia and in that short time I have not been able to receive sms messages whilst the screen is sleeping from my third party sms app Textra. I can receive sms on the stock app when the screen is asleep, but really who uses stock sms apps? I have been through every single setting on the phone and Textra sms app as well as very good support from Textra and still no solution so am stuck using the incredibly boring and dated stock sms app. I tried the first 10 or 12 sms apps on the google Playstore and none of them will receive sms with the screen sleeping, only when it is awake.so with that in mind i'm inclined to think it's not app related but software related. Have done all the usual things such as factory reset, sheesh I mean really a factory reset so soon grrr.

Has you approve the background operation of the app via setting ? Your software is already the latest one.

Kia ora, thank you so much, I just turned the Background task clear off all together and it works fine now. Could you please explain exactly what that feature is suppose to do as its not on any other android I have ever owned, thanks again, very happy,

Hi,
To solve your problem, go to "setting" and "background task clear" and finally check in the list whit Textra application! (Similarly for all other notifications)

Kia ora, thanks for the help, I just turned it off all together, This seems to be a blackview only feature as I have not seen it on other phones that my wife and friends have with 6.0. What actually is the purpose of the Background task clear?
