Spare parts

Sat Feb 03, 2018 11:15 pm

Dear Blackview-Crew,

I am basicly very happy with my BV6000. My problem is, that my Usb-port is partialy broken, it's difficult to charge and transfer data over cable - and it nerves. I think, i found a position that works, but like this i could not use it while charging, so this could only be a workaround.

I disassembled your phone and like the design - parts are easy replace-able. So i have the conclusion, that i could replace only the small board with the usb-connector.

If i would like to use my warranty, this could be difficult, my seller was from ebay. Also, this problem comes eventually from myself (i'm not very carefull with hardware sometimes - because of this, i like rugged phones).

So i wanted to ask, if you would sell single parts for this phone. Also batterys could be nice for example.

Maybe this would be also interessting to others? Is this possible, is there a pricelist or something?

Hope to get a good response :)

Best regards

It's right, but take care ... microphone is not included and old one need to be soldered on new USB card !
I have changed it and it's really not easy (very very small solder areas) ... keep zen !

yeah, there's the problem: i'm not very good in soldering. by disassemble i mean also only remove screws.

well, i know a friend who's good on soldering, but i'm not ask him yet. also, another usb-port in a bricked device or so is not difficult to find for me.

anyway, i would like to know how blackview handles selling of spare parts. when the soldering-action kills the mic or so (silicon and heat?), i would be very happy to change the whole board quick.

or also the battery - i think, it could be replaced by another cell - but the connector, format etc is just made for it, so i save work and know that it will do what it should.

thanks for the answers anyway :)

edit: sry, reviewed the board it a bit late and thinked it's just the port - but when it's "incomplete", like describet above, i'm still on that problem.

I have recently changed only the micro-usb port on another phone, tricky soldering, and it was the first time i have done so, but it worked (with 2nd socket attempt). But the cost was less than 0.3 $ (for two mico-usb mother sockets).
It is thue that i have done so because the entire USB board is not available anymore...

If you have acces to a repair shop maybe they have a skilled solder guy and you can manage to change only the socket for a very low cost.

I don't know if this helps you at all, but I had a very similar problem. I thought about having it fixed professionally, but then I realized that the WHOLE problem was just dust and fluff in the USB port. This is a particular problem with deep USB ports such as the one of the BV6000. I cleaned the USB port with a thin piece of plastic (actually a plastic toothpick that I made a bit thinner with a knife so that it fitted). I was surprised how much compressed stuff came out of this small port, but after I finished, the USB cable had a snug tight fit and charging/data was no problem any more - like new!
