bv6000 mic noise cancelling problem

Tue Jun 27, 2017 12:37 pm

Hi, I have a bv6000 with latest fota (bv6000_Blackview_V01_20170517)

My microphone is randomly mute (lowers income microphone gain to about 1%).
here is the problem in action: https://youtu.be/C3-NTLzOkBg

It happens most of the time when I'm in a noisy environment, but it also occurs when I'm in a quiet room.
I've already asked the webshop/service to replace the back panel (with the microphone on it) and they replaced it.
So it's a completely new mic but the problem still exists.

I think it's about something with the noise cancellation/reduction. the software thinks my voice is noise and its try to reduce it. when the people tell me they don't hear me. I just pull/scratch my finger on the microphone to get some noise and its pop's back to the way that they can hear me. but it's so frustrating so please help me to find a solution. I don't care if my voice is noisy, just please let me disable the noise filtering or give me some advice what to do :)

I've done the factory reset it multiple times. It did not fixed it.
I'm the one who always hope that a future fota upgrade will fix this, but they didn't yet.
So i've already sent a mail to the Hungarian distributor, and till they respond, I thought I'll give it a try in here :]

btw I love this phone, but I want to use for it's main goal: make calls. :)

Isn't the microphone located at the front panel, gloved behind a small hole on the front?
Changing the BACK would not help in that case.

sorry, it was my bad you misunderstood me.
I've asked for a microphone replacement from the service and they did that.
the back is replaced cause the sim card holder's screw was broken into the hole and they replaced the back panel too.

so the point is the microphone is replaced :)
can you tell me where or how can i disable the noise cancellation/ filtering? or there is any other software related fix for that?

OK, then it should not be a hardware bug.

You should first try to update to the latest software 20170517 (If OTA update don't work you can flash it over PC).

Maybe also the setting "Hardware testing>Audio>speech enhancement" in engineer mode (type *#9646633# in phone dial pad) might help - but since I don't have this issue on my testing device I am not able to tell you for sure if this can help. Don't forget to write down the original setting before changing anything here.

I have the latest software (bv6000_Blackview_V01_20170517).

i'll try out this engineer mode, but,
in audio_speechEnchancement there is a lot:

index 0 0
index 1 55997
index 2 31000
index 3 10752
index 4 32769
index 5 0
and the rest is 0 too.

what are the correct settings? is there some kind of manual for this?
btw this issue comes at various times, its noticeable via longer talks.

Sorry, I don't know the exact setting that maybe solve your problem because I can not reproduce this issue. I fear you have to test out what's helping. Maybe setting index 1 to 10752 or setting every Index 5000 higher.

thx, I'll try that out and post it here if I succeed.
what you saying is I have to modify index 0 and the rest of the currently 0's to a different (1-10752 or higher than 5K ) ?
can you suggest what are they for? is it a decibel or something? :)

Sorry, I don't know the unit. I think it's the enchancement in different areas of volume.

Dear Admin, could you check please if meaning of these values are secret? If they are not, please ask engineers what they are but if the are secret, please say so. This could be very helpful to know what we are playing with instead of just guessing. Setting it correct for one environment could surprisingly cause some misbehavior in another.
