I have the Blackview BV6000 and its camera makes a loud shutter sound everytime I am clicking a picture or recording a video. It is gets too irritating at times. Is there a way to get this done without using any app?

Try putting the phone on silent and then using the camera

Keeping my phone on silent doesn't work.

Got the same problem, my BV6000 is only 2 weeks old. So annoying.

It's a general agreement, including OS providera as well as device manufacturers, that due to privacy protection the camera should always sound when taking pictures. There were even legislation projects to enforce this behavior. I don know though if they were introduced.

Disabling shutter click is actually quite easy, but you need to root your phone first in order to have access to system files folder. Then you go to system/media/audio/ui, find the file "camera_click.ogg" and change its name to, for instance, "camera_clic.ogg". After that you take silent pictures. Changing the name back restores the shutter sound.
