Proximity sensor problem in Android 7.0?

Does anyone have issue with the proximity sensor not shutting off the display when calling?

In the old software the problem went away after calibrating the proximity sensor, but I've done that (proximity sensor works) and the screen still does not shit off during phone calls.

Any ideas?

Mine actually improved ever so slightly with the upgrade to 7. Mine was like yours is on 6. If I moved the phone even slightly away from my ear, it used to cause no end of problems with the screen turning on, (I put it into aeroplane mode multiple times accidentally), and calibration did nothing. At least now I have a mm or two of wiggle room before the screen comes on.

Just noticed the same problem with 7. Calibrating the proximity sensor doesn't seem to help.
Current location is Germany.

NB: I just checked via engineering mode and found the maximum setting to be 124 at best. I believe it should be 255 instead?!

Hello,
For me, when checking proximity sensor via engineering mode, result is about maximum 170 on BV6000 Android 7.0.
Before update Nougat 7.0, it was 255 maximum on BV6000 Android 6.0 ...
It seems that it's not hardware problem and i think that this problem need to be fix in next update Android 7.

Please check if the battery is connected well with your phone or try to reboot your phone.
