My BV6000 phone periodically installs suspect software without consent or authorization. .e.g Space Cleaner. This additional software causes lots of issues including generating unsolicted banner ads etc... How do I stop this happening?

Additional Technical Information:

Phone is running ANDRIOD 6.0, bv6000_bLACKVIEW_v01_20161011

Malware Bytes identifies the following issues: HTMLView.apk & AdupsFota.apk both Malware

Please let me know if any additional information is required.

If any of your apps are carrying this soft, and make it installed automatically.

The suspect apps are part of the standard build of the BV6000 and NOT anything I have installed. A factory reset does not remove these apps.
How do I remove them?

I've had the same problem and solved it by restoring the original ROM v01. 20161011

After that it never happend again.

Hello you must to diseable HtmlViewer (apparently in the stockrom on my phone) it's a system process. For found malware i recommanded you Malwaresbytes.

flash a clean rom, then update to 20161011 or if working for you to 20170223. Disable installing from unknown app-sources. And maybe disable the apps html viewer and system update on 20161011.

How does it one flash a rom? I don't know I'm going to having the same problem.

How do I restore the original ROM v01. 20161011 on the phone?

I am having this same problem. I have also been told that I need to flash new rom. Well I have tried this method viewtopic.php?t=54240 but problem is that sp flash tool won't work for me. I have updated and removed those drivers many many times, but no response from sp flash tools when plugging in usb. If i go to the meta mode (press volume up) during plugging in usb cable then sp flash tools will recognize it, but download will be stuck in 100% red progress bar and after minute or two i get this error: brom error status_ext_ram_exception. Any tips? I have not been able to take battery out of the phone. Could that cause problems? Is there any other way to flash new rom?

This malware is also on the BV5000 I just downloaded and installed V1.6_20160801_R16 and its "pre-loaded"

Is there any newer and "clean" firmware for the BV5000 ?
