I have updated to latest ROM successfully. Update is rather large but installs very fast. Share experience here.

Recommended:
After updating restart the phone 1x more time.

Issues:
Google play services stops working (2 times now).

To those concerned with battery drain. So far it seems to be within tolerance. Usage estimate is 2.5days with screen taking 12% and others being lower than 1% - thats roughly the same as before. Note that I use 2 SIM.

Hi Petas3,

I really appreciated with you and others experiences after ROM update to Nougat.

I have suggestion for you and others :
After ROM updated, probably better if you "Reset to the factory setting".
Don't forget to backup your data and apps before you do that.
I think that more valid and better than "just restart your BV6000".

Solution(s) about Playstore stop working :

(1) Just "reset to the factory setting" and let see after that.

(2) If you have done point one and still "stop working" then please read information about google play service in the link below.
This is the guide to choose correct version of google play service to make play store working normally :

http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc ... -services/

(3) Otherwise, wait Blackview's Admin and Tech Team to fix that and release new update (via OTA or local files).
Please patient and give them some more times to make it better. Since developing Nougat system is more difficult than the previous android OS.

Anyway, I have question for you :
Did you use internet connection via sim card (using data package) or WIFI ?

I'm asking this because :
If the battery could hold (any activities that need internet connection) for 2.5 days using WIFI, it's mean NORMAL, since the battery is "only" 4,000+ mAh.
Otherwise .....
If the battery could hold for 2.5 days using data package via SIM CARD, it's mean GREAT.

Note :
NORMAL and GREAT in the last paragraph are only my opinions.

I hope my explanations above could solve your problem.
Thank you for your feedback for us.

I have never reset to factory defaults - never had to.

It just wrote this after boot, but everything is working just fine - so far I have had no issues.

I use both GSM and WIFI. Outside when travelling 2G-4G and WiFi inside. After full day of use my battery now stands at 65%. I would say it is at least the same as before upgrading, maybe even slightly better. But to answer the question - if you expect it to transmit in background all time it most definitely wont last more than 1 day - I use messengers n stuff, like a normal person.

+1
From what I can tell power usage has increased with about 1/3 compared to the last Android 6 version.

Hopefully there will be at least 1 more patch to address all remaining issues. In just over 3 days I have encoutered the WiFi/GSM switch problem mentioned somewhere in the forums for the first time. Resetting WiFi solved it immidiately.

I updated the latest ROM when it came out, everythign was fine (for my usage)
But last night I let the phone died, completely out of battery.
So this morning, i charged it up and turned it on, the Launcher3 crashed and stopped working, been trying to restart and all that, still crash.
On the other hand, I discovered Google Go Launcher and love it.
So yeah, that's my only problem for now.
